Caprese Salad with Honey-Balsamic Reduction

Step 1
Mix the balsamic vinegar and honey in a small saucepan over high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes until the vinegar mixture has reduced. Take the saucepan off the heat and cool.
Step 2
On a platter, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella. Top with salt and black pepper.
Step 3
Sprinkle the chopped basil leaves over the top of the mozzarella and tomatoes, then drizzle with olive oil and balsamic reduction.
